Riviera Inc. (“Riviera,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates an AI-powered guest communication platform designed for the hospitality industry. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit our website, use our platform, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to provide, maintain, and improve our Services. This includes:

  • Account Information. When you or your organization registers for Riviera, we collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, job titles, and billing information.
  • Guest Communication Data. Our platform processes guest messages, voice transcripts, call metadata, and interaction history on behalf of our hotel customers. This data is controlled by the hotel and processed by Riviera as a service provider.
  • Usage Data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Services, including IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, features used, and access timestamps.
  • Integration Data. If you connect Riviera to third-party property management systems, CRMs, or messaging platforms, we may receive data from those services as necessary to facilitate the integration.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
  • Train, improve, and develop our AI models and communication features;
  • Generate aggregated, de-identified analytics and insights for our customers;
  • Process transactions and send related billing information;
  • Send administrative communications, including service updates, security alerts, and support messages;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements; and
  • Conduct research and analysis to enhance the performance and accuracy of our platform.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers. We share data with trusted vendors who assist us in operating the Services, such as cloud hosting, payment processing, and analytics providers. These parties are contractually obligated to use information only as directed by us.
  • Hotel Customers. Guest communication data processed through Riviera is accessible to the hotel customer that controls the account. Hotels are responsible for their own privacy practices with respect to their guests.
  • Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business Transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify affected users of any such change in ownership or control.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, regular security audits, and infrastructure monitoring. While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, understand usage patterns, and measure the effectiveness of our communications. Guest communication data is retained in accordance with the data retention settings configured by the applicable hotel customer. When data is no longer required, we delete or de-identify it in accordance with our internal retention schedules.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Please note that certain data may be exempt from such requests under applicable law, and we may need to retain certain information for legitimate business or legal purposes.

If you are a hotel guest whose data has been processed through our platform, please direct your request to the hotel property, as they are the controller of your personal data. We will cooperate with our hotel customers to fulfill such requests.

9. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective” date at the top of this page and, where required, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
